How to get accepted in Nursing Program in TWU in Dallas?

U.S.A. Texas

Published

Hello folks,

I was just wondering if you guys could give me tips on how to get accepted to the TWU nursing program. I know I need to take the TEAS and get 64% and I need to apply and get accepted school. My worries are the things I need to study for the TEAS and what criteria is TWU looking for to get accepted into their nursing program. Also, I'm in my second year of pre-reqs in my community college. Please help! Thank you with much love !!!! :)

Hi there,

I'm also applying to TWU next year. Here is some information that I have gathered.

64/100 on the TEAS is considered passing, 80/100 is competitive.

A 3.00 is min GPA, I want to say the average for the last incoming class was a 3.7, or around there.

You get " bumps " for the following :

previous Bachelor's degree

and First Attempt A's in A&P 1 & 2, Micro, & Stats.

Hope this helps a little. As far as the TEAS, I bought a study guide on Amazon.

Good luck,

Hello, I plan to apply for the Fall of 2014. At the nursing information session they gave us the average stats of a competitive student. They were:

3.8 GPA

3/4 first attempt A's (A&P I/II, Microbiology, Statistics)

86% TEAS-V Score

This is for the Dallas campus. The Houston campus is a bit less competitive due to the abundance of nursing programs in that area.

They only base admissions off of those 3 things. Its all about numbers for admission into this program.

Also, if you go onto atitesting.com they offer a study guide for the TEAS that will readily prepare you. They are the creators of the test and their study guide is the most effective. They also offer online practice tests. Best of luck.
