Hello! Quick question and may be a dumb one LOL. So when giving lasix IV as an intermittent infusion how many minutes can you give it over if the dose I am giving is 25 mg/2.5 ml? If the hospital guidelines state that it should be given at a rate not to exceed 0.5 mg/kg/min or for higher doses not to exceed 4 mg/min would giving it over 15 min be too fast? The rate of the dose would be 10 ml/hr. TIA!

The infusion rate is going to be based on the patient’s weight.

As UpToDate recommends pediatric furosemide administration rate of 0.5 mg/kg/minute, not to exceed 4 mg/minute regardless of dose, administering the dose over 15 minutes is acceptable.
ETA: At my facility, medications for patients >40 kg are dosed and administered following adult guidelines.
