Hi all!
I am looking into finally achieving my life dream of becoming a nurse!:) After raising four kiddos and my youngest starting Pre-K next year, I am so ready to begin my next journey in life!
My question to you all is this: How far do you typically travel for your nursing school/classes/clinically. Since we only have one LVN program locally, I am going to apply to other schools outside of my area - no more than 1.5 hours away - as well as the online NCTC program. I am just curious as to how many others are out there like me and if so, do you have any advice?
Thanks so much!

I'm no longer a student, but I've done my share of commuting to and from school. After all, my user name is 'TheCommuter,' LOL.
When I lived in central California, I commuted 95 miles one-way (190 miles round trip) to an LVN program in southern California five days per week.
While living in Fort Worth, I commuted 225 miles one-way to an LPN-to-RN bridge program in Oklahoma City. I drove to Oklahoma on Tuesday mornings, spent Tuesday and Wednesday nights in OKC, and drove back to Fort Worth on Thursday evenings.

Wow! That's a lot of traveling! I think an hour-and-a-half won't be so bad. ;-)
That's what I may end up doing as well. Where do you go to school?
