How far/deep do I study?

I am familiarlizing myself with anatomy and physiology right now to be ready for the LPN program when I start next fall. Below is a random outline I wrote for example. Should I study this in detail (go much further that what I outlined), or just in general. I have no clue how far the studies go in LPN.

Did you already take A&P?

  • Author

No Anne36, this is all very new to me. Which is why I want to get a head start. :)

Oh, I gotcha. At my school this is all pre-req for the program. I just finished A&P 1 and 2 and am praying to start my LPN program in January. Im actually going to get started reviewing my A&P next week.

The list you made were things that we had to know, especially in Lab exams on the models. Each teacher may have certain areas they focus more on and you will find that out when you begin.

I would say its great to get a jump start learning muscle names and skeleton, etc. It sure cant hurt but I do find that in class it goes so fast that it can be forgotton fast too. That is why Im reviewing.

Is there anyway that you are allowed to take A&P this winter before the program begins?

Thanks Anne. I was told to just study the anatomy, so I can focus on the physiology when the class starts. A&P is not a pre req. In fact, the only pre req I have to take is Allied Science, (and intro to computers and freshman orientation). I'm excempt from english/reading/math. I read so much about how fast the program moves and how hard it is to keep up, I feel like I want to study everything before next fall. I can definitely see how easy it would be to forget alot of this, there is so much info to learn!
