How far are your clinicals?

OK...Our school is located in the "capital" of this state, has it's own hospital but, our clinicals are 45 miles away. On the other hand, the University that is located in the same area as our clinicals do their clinicals here:eek: How much sense does that make?

How far are your clinicals and why?

My entire last year we drove 75 miles to hospitals in a large city for our clinicals (twice a week). Up at 4, leave at 5 to get their by 0645 then work a 12 hour shift and drive home. I remember it was exhausting!

I think I was fortunate because there were 4 other students from my town and we commuted together whenever we could. The 5 of us became great friends over the course of that year - the ride home was always interesting (Exhaustion = goofiness). We continue to stay in touch since we graduated. I was so lucky to go to school with great classmates!
