How Did You Get a Job at a North Shore-LIJ Hospital??

U.S.A. New York

I have been applying to the North Shore LIJ system in New York for 4 months now! I have filled 23 applications and still no response. If you currently work at their hospitals or know someone there, can you tell me how you got in?? I have been applying online for months..How did you apply online and get the job? Did you literally sit by the computer ALL DAY refreshing the website to see what new positions were open before others took it?? I heard they only look at the first 5 positions? Is that true? What times of the day are best to apply? Or did you know someone at Human Resources?? If you could just tell me your process I would greatly appreciate it!! Sorry to ask too many questions it's just that I am really desperate:sorry: ...There are more and more grads coming out from Nursing school and I graduated in December and still no job yet...I just don't know what to do anymore...

there's literally no way to reach just ONE recruiter on the Talent Acquisition team, they all work together, if there's an open spot then they look through resume submissions. They do prefer an RN with a bachelor's degree though, which I don't have. I created a profile back in 2012 and just kept applying once in awhile...sometimes to 50+jobs at once. I went to work at a ambulatory surgical clinic, and then at a local nursing home. FINALLY I got a call to inteview out of the blue after updating my resume once I had 6 months experience. I got hired to work at a rehabilitation center in the system. I am thrilled though...looking forward to moving up from here to one of their hospitals :).
