Hi everyone,

I am currently a student at CPCC and want to apply to any nursing school in charlotte that I can get in. I messed up my grades when I first started going to school. I didnt' know what I wanted so I would just drop classes or flunk them left and right. Now Im doin all I can to boost my GPA up again. Im retaking classes; so now my GPa is better. Do u guys think that what I did in the past will affect my chances of getting in to the program? I want to apply at Carolina of health Science, Mercy, Cpcc and Presbytirian.

What school do u guys think is more leniant about requirments?

Im just scared that I ruined my chances of getting into a program bc I was sooo dumb before!! :banghead: If I work at a hospital do you think it will help at all? Any input I can get would be very helpful!

THANKS GUYS

Hey,

It is very competitive in charlotte for nursing programs. I have been trying for a year to get into a program and just got accepted. Ok.. carolinas college of health and science and mercy want good sat scores. Actually carolina college of health and science has a mini too apply. Cpcc is based on the Teas test and your three science grades, thats it. Presbyterian looks at prequisites of required courses needed for your asn or bsn. Also, cna cerf. and cpr cerf. is a big boost. Don't worry about previous classes just as long as you do well in the prerequisites. You seem to be on a good track with raises your gpa. You will be fine. I was in your place a year ago but it worked out. Good Luck!!!

The schools in Charlotte are VERY competitive. Keep your chin up and your nose to the grindstone in school and improve that GPA!

PS: I don't think any of them are lenient at all - there are so many trying to get into school and only so many spots. It's supply & demand.
