How can an MBA in health services administration & an RN license go together

Published

I completed my MBA with a concentration of health services administration in 2012 & now I will be started pre-nursing courses. I will be aiming for an ADN and taking the NCLEX to obtain an RN license. I am not looking to get a BSN. I just wanted to know how my MBA in health services admin & RN can possibly go together? I did some research and found that the positions for health services administrator usually require an RN license & several years of experience so I may have gone about my career backwards. Probably should have gotten my RN license first then pursued a masters. Am I going about it the best route I can possibly choose at this point?

Many RNs with an MBA work in administrative or management roles after spending a few years at the bedside.
