I am an RN of 2 yeara and LPN of 3 years and i have experience in different ranges of nursing including case management. Whenever i apply to aetna or anthem I get an email right away stating they have found candidates with more experience. I would like to do UM or CM from home. Any suggestions on my resume to help get noticed?

Have you tried Humana or UnitedHealthGroup?
As far as resume help...
I'd say scan their job posting and use the same key words that they use under "primary responsibilities."
Take each one and tailor it to your experience using the key words.
For example..if it says..
*Communicates with healthcare providers
*Demonstrates ability to accurately collect and assess patient information
*Assesses the health status of patients assigned to caseload
Your resume should state...
Real Health Hospital
Registered Nurse
04/2000-08/2016
*Maintained daily communication with healthcare providers and interdisciplinary team members in order to coordinate efficient patient care for the best patient outcome.
*Utilized Epic electronic medical record system to accurately collect, assess, and chart patient information.
*Assessed acutely and chronically ill med/surg patients to anticipate needs, provide outstanding nursing care, and educate patient on illness in order to reduce readmission.
DISCLAIMER: I am NOT a master at writing resumes. I am ONLY trying to help. I am sure that many many nurses here can create a better resume!!! Again, I am ONLY trying to help. You could also pay a professional resume writer, preferably one with nursing resume writing experience, to create one for you.
I wish you all the best on your search. I, too, am trying to get into case management. I lack the CM experience that you have. Your CM experience should be a great benefit for you!!

This is exactly what I did when I started looking for a CM position at the end of December. I had three callbacks for interviews and was able to land a position with the last company I interviewed with. Good luck!

It could be that they're looking for a magical number of 3-5 years experience but maybe because you have 3 as an LPN and 2 as an RN your automatically getting rejected because it may look like only 2 years RN? Also agree with the above advice on wording your resume to be similar (not exact!) to what they have listed in primary responsibilities. Also any mention of great ability to multitask should be on every nurses resume imo :) !
