Certification also requires experience. Most clinics and hospital don't want to invest in training new dialysis nurses because it can take 3-6 months to get you to the point of independence. My boss also favors experienced dialysis hires but also likes those with any critical care experience or procedural area experience. Be persistent.
I've worked In dialysis for 5+ years now and honesty I'd say about 90% of the people that get hired (nurses and techs) have NO dialysis experience. Just apply to all of them, I'm sure you'll get a call.
Dialysis has a high turnover rate for employees, it's a field that you either love or hate. I absolutely love it. It's great! But others have they're opinions about it.

I am trying to get into dialysis nursing but where I am every job posting I see it says "EXPERIENCE" is pretty much mandatory.
How can I get experience as a dialysis RN if no one will give me a chance?
A friend told me to try and get a certificate then maybe they will hire me. Is this true? If so what certificate should I get? or how else can I get experience?
