  1. I am thinking of applying for acute dialysis and hear that most of the time you work independently and work 10-16+ hours a day, my question is if you hooked up a patient to dialysis can you go to the bathroom? Is there such a thing as a lunch break or bathroom break? Lets say I am working 7a-7p its getting close to 11pm, for that 4 hrs is it considered OT? When you have on call is it usually on the days you are already working or is it on your days that you have off?
  2. I am trying to get into dialysis nursing but where I am every job posting I see it says "EXPERIENCE" is pretty much mandatory. How can I get experience as a dialysis RN if no one will give me a chance? A friend told me to try and get a certificate then maybe they will hire me. Is this true? If so what certificate should I get? or how else can I get experience?
