Is your program ADN or BSN? You will need your BSN, plus at least 1 full year critical care experience. Most programs don't care your months of internship in the ICU as part of your work experience. Depending on which program you apply to you might be required to have your CCRN. To be competitive in any program you should go ahead and get it. You'll need to take either the GRE or MAT, whichever is required where you apply. That's the beginning.......
Im starting out with my ADN, then going for my BSN in 3 more semesters.
