How can an F1 convert his/her visa to a green card?

Published

Hello Everyone,

I am a registered nurse, graduated in May 2010. I was on OPT, and for the entire year, I was not able to find a job, and especially a hospital/agency who can sponsor me. Therefore, I had no choice but to pursue my masters program. I am also trying to explore various internship programs, rn residency programs but have been very unsuccessful so far. Can someone suggest me a lawyer that can help me get a green card?

I want to let you all know that I am even willing to relocate to any part of the country, and have a valid RN licensure not only for the state of California, but also a compact state nursing licensure from Maryland Board of Registered Nursing.

Thank you very much.

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

Lawyer isn't going to help you get a greencard if you have no employer. Compact license will not do you any good unless you have a permanent residency in that state otherwise if you have a license then it is just a straightforward state license

Finish your masters degree and try to get sponsorship with it.

Thank you very much. Does anyone know of the hospitals that hire and then sponsor?
