Most require some 1-2 years post grad experience
It depends on where you want to work, many occupational health nurses in industry are expected to have emergency unit experience as they may well be the first responder to an occupational incident.
My thoughts go to major steel works where I live, and if there is a serious accident the nurses may well be one of the first on scene.
Hi, if you want to work in industry, you could look at offshore. You need 3 years experience, preferably ICU or A+E, and a HSE offshore medics course. Check out http://www.rig-medics.co.uk they have a really informative site. Just ask any questions about it on the forum.
