Houston relocation

U.S.A. Texas

I am a soon to be graduate and am looking to relocate from philadelphia to houston and am wondering what opportunities are availiable and if it's worth is.

My wife is an RN/BSN with nine years experience and was recently offered $32.00 per hour at a hospital in The Woodlands. Also included was a 10k signing bonus in which she has to stay for two years to collect in full. 5k each year. She's undecided whether or not to accept the offer. She can probably make more money in the Medical Center but the commute would be a hassle.

A friend of mine is a new grad and she makes ~$25hr. She works with me in the med center and Hermann pays us a "hassle" bonus per hour....her $25hr includes that "hassle" bonus. The reason for the extra hourly pay is because traffic and parking are a turn-off to some people so they try and sweeten the deal by paying med center nurses a little more. That's Hermann though. I'm not sure what the other hospitals in the med center do.

Thanks for the information.
