Starting a thread about Houston Nurse Residency programs that open this month/next to start in June/July!

I applied for their ER as well! After the Pre-Screening day, I received a call from her to schedule an interview time; however, I haven't heard back since she left her voicemail. I'm hoping since you said the GN program is on hold, that's why she has not been back in contact with me to schedule my second interview. Thank you so much!

HCA called me yesterday to schedule virtual interview with me for April 2nd , and for me to choose my locations so am sure they are calling around.

Whenever she called me I asked about women's services and she told me we can't interview with them anymore. They're not going to be taking new grads

Seriously? So The Woman’s Hospital isn’t even hiring anymore?

Yup, I know I was shocked too. And she told me they were taking people for the woman's hospital. Like OR, post-surgical etc but she was referring to units like L&D, mother-baby, NICU, and postpartum not taking new grads.

She gave me specific times and will send email to me on how to connect before the week runs out she said.

For everyone who has a second interview scheduled with Methodist Houston Sugar Land - I was scheduled to have an interview at 1pm today. I contacted them this AM to make sure we were still good to go, and I was told to reschedule as things are pretty hectic for them right now. I totally understood, and am just thankful they haven’t put the RN residency program on hold. So if any of you are waiting for your second interview with Methodist sugar land (for me it was ICU) - just know that they may need to reschedule.

When I asked about a timeline at my interview they said they didn’t have an answer for me at the time but to be patient considering covid etc. So my guess is people can expect to hear back from Memorial Hermann hospitals this week! Congratulations! ?? I was called at 10:30 this morning and was also offered a position! I was told tentatively starting orientation in July and I’d receive an email later this week regarding important dates. Which unit will you be joining?
