Houston Nurse Residency Spring 2025

Hiiiii everyone! I know this is a little early but I am graduating this December and will be applying to houston nurse residencies and didn't see a forum for this 🙂 since applications start in a few months, just wanted to make this for more info! Does anyone know all the application opening dates for TCH, MH, Methodist, etc...?

Also, I am not sure if anyone knows, but will our status on the TCH application portal continue to say "under consideration" indefinitely, even if we aren't selected for interview?

Hi, you all just keep your head up. I was able to get my dream job in Missouri for labor and delivery at Mercy Hospital . I guess my biggest tip is to stay flexible because even if you don't get a job in Texas there is seriously a lot of positions out there and I was offered the emergency department and labor and delivery

Also, for anyone who heard back from any location/unit, did you have a reference? Asking bc I remember someone from a previous cohort saying TCH tends to reach out to people with references first. 

I have from the PICU and I think the only reason I got an interview was because I had my capstone there and I asked the manager if she could send my resume to the recruiters! I think for the big hospitals you need to know someone which sucks!! this is my second round of residency and I hope I get this job!!

I haven't heard from TCH NICU. I heard from ACHD at TMC. I did put NICU as my first choice tho.

OMG yay good luck! 🫶🏼 I have a reference too but it sucks that you even need to have one 😭 like so many good people can miss a good opportunity simply because they don't know anyone 😕
