Houston Nurse Residency Spring 2025

Hiiiii everyone! I know this is a little early but I am graduating this December and will be applying to houston nurse residencies and didn't see a forum for this 🙂 since applications start in a few months, just wanted to make this for more info! Does anyone know all the application opening dates for TCH, MH, Methodist, etc...?

I am still waiting to hear back from TCH. I put ER as my first choice, and Acute Care as my second. Has anyone heard back from these units?

I haven't! If you want to move to a different state near TX, there are so many more job opportunities that pay decent. I got offered an ED position, and I am waiting on an offer from L&D (which would be my dream)! Then you can take that experience anywhere!

This is very true! If you are open to moving, there are residency programs I applied to in NC and PA that I've gotten offers for in oncology and the OR! For both of those places, they actually accept New Grads on a rolling basis as well, so you don't have to worry about the deadlines for applications or waiting for the next cohort to open if you don't get a job right away.

It seems like Houston is just really tough when it comes to New Grad RN jobs in particular, but there is a lot of opportunity out there!

Where are you waiting for the L&D offer from?
