Houston Nurse Residency Spring 2025

Hiiiii everyone! I know this is a little early but I am graduating this December and will be applying to houston nurse residencies and didn't see a forum for this 🙂 since applications start in a few months, just wanted to make this for more info! Does anyone know all the application opening dates for TCH, MH, Methodist, etc...?

I heard Methodist sent out invites for a prescreening event for Wednesday-October 2. 

Is this true? Which Methodist location is it for? And is this the mass interview event?

Yes , it's a prescreening interview event , the way it was explained to me is that it's all 5 locations but you only interview with the unit/location that reached out to you to set up an interview time

did they send out invites to all locations? I only heard about people that applied to hm west heard back. 

 

has anyone heard otherwise?

I got one for the West location and all my other ones are under review

Literally have not heard so much as a whisper from any hospital here in Houston. It's really discouraging. Is anybody else considering positions outside Houston at this point?

I haven't heard anything as well. I've been applying since January 2024 and still have been unable to find a residency in Houston even a job in med surg. I've changed my resume lots of times, so I'll definitely be applying for outside cohorts next time around.

Me 🙋‍♀️ I had already been a part of a residency with UNC in North Carolina for 6 months that I had to leave to give birth and then we ended up moving to Houston. But they said they would take me back if we moved back and we are genuinely considering it at this point.

 

I didn't think it would be so hard to even get an interview here!

Did y'all also receive a pre screening survey for HM on your email? I applied to every HM location and 3 of them say "under review" only 1 has completely rejected me LOL

 

also I didn't get an invite for the event on Wednesday.

I got an email from HM TMC with the prescreening but it  sat in my spam for 5 days and they haven't reached back out with the interview sign up link 😔💔 Baytown also send out a prescreening
