Houston Nurse Residency Spring 2022

I wanted to go ahead and start a thread for all the Houston applicants! Where is everyone applying and what units? Would love for us to connect throughout the process. 

Anyone doing the methodist pre screening on zoom tommorow only got a password and not a link to the interview?

The same exact thing happened to me! I was scheduled for an interview today. Then I received a text message and phone call earlier this week that I wasn’t qualified for the Residency program because I already have nursing experience....I’ve been an LVN for almost 3 years, and I was told that the Residency program is for those who have no nursing experience whatsoever. I was also told that after I graduate with my RN, I can apply for an RN I position. However, if you read the job description for an RN I position it clearly states under experience requirements that if you have less than 6 months nursing experience you have to go through the residency program. So I’m really confused. I’ve applied to 3 other residency programs and this is the first time I’ve ever had a company tell me I’m disqualified because I’m already a nurse ??, most places don’t even care about that because they’re looking at whether you have RN experience so I’m annoyed with Houston Methodist at this point.

Has anyone heard from Memorial Hermann or Harris Health?! I know with Memorial Hermann that their match days for interviews are starting next week so surely everyone should hear something by the end of this week of whether they’ve been selected to interview if they haven’t heard anything already. The anticipation is killing me!

does anyone get this message "You do not meet the minimum requirements for this job. We encourage you to apply again to other jobs that match your interests and qualifications." when they fill out the Methodist sugarland application?
