I wanted to go ahead and start a thread for all the Houston applicants! Where is everyone applying and what units? Would love for us to connect throughout the process.

If anyone needs an update for Methodist Baytown. I was asked if I was available for this upcoming Tues, since Friday filled up. I am waiting for them to confirm if I get an interview time for that day. Hope everyone else applying there has been contacted to, if you were not able to get in Friday.

I have an interview for Houston Methodist Baytown on Friday!! What area did you apply for?!

Awesome! good luck! I applied for MedSurge and ED (if it allowed 2 areas, I don't remember). Those are the 2 areas I am interested to work in at any of the hospitals I applied to. What about yourself?

Has anyone heard from Houston Methodist and the OR residency coordinator? I received an email for an interview, signed up for an interview for the 8th, and then they told me they cancelled my interview because I am interested in OR and the OR residency coordinator would be in contact with me.

So I received an in-person interview invitation yesterday and it’s scheduled for tomorrow.. but I currently live in Florida. It was way too short notice for me to make accommodations to fly out to Houston the next day. I emailed back asking if I’d be able to do a virtual interview.. but being that it’s the weekend, I’m sure they won’t see it until tomorrow. ☹️ Does anyone have any suggestions?

Did they let you do a virtual interview?? The email they sent out had both in-person and virtual interview options. 

 

Hope it worked out for you!! This whole process has been so stressful.
