Houston Nurse Residency Fall 2024

Hi! I'm graduating this August and plan on applying to positions in Houston in women's health and pediatrics. I wanted to create a thread so everyone can stay up to date on applications/interviews for the October 2024 Cohorts. Good luck!

apparently, AI is the wave with jobs and resumes now. If your application is pre-screened by the computer and doesn't meet certain requirements, it probably will not even make it an actual HR rep to read. There's way to many new grads and applicants for them to read every single one. 

I guess graduating from the #1 Nursing school in the world wasn't good enough for AI. 🤣

Does anyone know if working in pediatric home health / home health will prevent you from being able to get a job at a hospital in the future?

definitely not! If anything, it got a few of my friends' foots/feet in the door when they started applying for residencies a few months after and it's experience!

HCA is having hiring events across multiple locations throughout the month of July! Not sure if new grads and upcoming grads are eligible to attend though

On 6/04 I was sent the screening to fill out for location and unit preference. Have not heard anything since then

I'm not sure of the location you applied to but their interview day for the TMC location was yesterday
