Houston Community College LVN program 2015 and 2016

Published

Hello,Everyone I am a Houston Community College student. I am going to apply for their licensed vocational nurse program this year, but if things do not work out I will go for their RN program.I do have a 2.66 GPA ,and will take the TEAS in a couple of weeks . Is their anyone applying this year or next year or already in the program. I would like to know your opinions and experiences.

Oh well thank you very much I have not been able to find anyone I can really talk to about this program although we are applying at different times. It really helps when nursing students stick together!!!!! LOL ....I hope we can stay in contact . I need to check mines soon as possible . I work in a nursing home ,and the head nurse gives me my shots if their not updated, but. I'm pretty sure they might not say anything about the Hepatitis shot until you have clinical because that's why you have to really have it to be around your patients or maybe you can get a titer , it is bloodwork to see if your immune to it. I will call soon .I already payed for my TEAS again so I might take it anyway ,and apply to the RN program too if I have to wait till next year!!Well hopefully not..lol ...I have too people in mind for my reference already..lol

Gotta be ahead of the game!!!!LOL

Yes you must stay positive ,and believe ...lol and you can also have a backup plan.Im so glad im done with HPRS, but it did bring up my GPA. When someone has to write a reference letter for you they just write about how good of a worker you are/person . Is that correct!!!!

Your welcome! Yeah it sure helps to all stick together and yeah definitely we can stay on touch to see how everything goes with both of us hopefully we make it into the program. Well they told us in the meeting if we get accepted we have to have our Hep B shots by august 31st and a titer as well don't know why though. Lol that's good good luck on your TEAS exam. Lol good you only need one more now.

Yes exactly they got to talk good about you like what qualities you have what your good at and stuff like that.

OMG!!!!!!That's next month at least you have a month and a half. I feel more confident about the test this time because I am actually using the study guide ,and I know what I need to study.Thank you

OK I understand now!!Did you bring your resume or was it optional to the interview.

Yes almost!! Well good luck on your TEAS exam. To the interview I took the 2-3 paged essay the reference letter and a signed paper that shows proof that you actually interviewed a Lvn.

Hi i wanted to know did you ever get accepted into the lvn program
