  1. Hello everyone,Did anybody go to a community college such as Houston Community College or San Jacinto Community College in Pasadena. I was wondering if they will look at rather you took classes at a community college or university when you do apply for the nursing program.I think that going to a community college will hurt my chances of ever going to this school.Am I just overthinking everything.
  2. thank you for this information
  3. OK I understand now!!Did you bring your resume or was it optional to the interview.
  4. OMG!!!!!!That's next month at least you have a month and a half. I feel more confident about the test this time because I am actually using the study guide ,and I know what I need to study.Thank you
  5. Yes you must stay positive ,and believe ...lol and you can also have a backup plan.Im so glad im done with HPRS, but it did bring up my GPA. When someone has to write a reference letter for you they just write about how good of a worker you are/person . Is that correct!!!!
  6. Gotta be ahead of the game!!!!LOL
  7. Oh well thank you very much I have not been able to find anyone I can really talk to about this program although we are applying at different times. It really helps when nursing students stick together!!!!! LOL ....I hope we can stay in contact . I need to check mines soon as possible . I work in a nursing home ,and the head nurse gives me my shots if their not updated, but. I'm pretty sure they might not say anything about the Hepatitis shot until you have clinical because that's why you have to really have it to be around your patients or maybe you can get a titer , it is bloodwork to see if your immune to it. I will call soon .I already payed for my TEAS again so I might take it anyway ,and apply to the RN program too if I have to wait till next year!!Well hopefully not..lol ...I have too people in mind for my reference already..lol
  8. Ohh that sounds great and with that GPA and great test scores I believe you will get accepted . Thats great because I rushed on my folder ,and I wrote anything just to get a grade lol and , I would hate to have to do some of it over again. Did you take your nutrition and A&P 1 class over the summer or you currently taking it.
  9. Can one of the references be from our manager? I went to the orientation today and they told us that they really look at our TEAS scores, Interview, and the grade we make in our nutrition and A&P 1......The only problem I may have is if I pass I still have to take nutrition and A&P 1 and they won't be able to look at it because its still in progress. I did hear someone say that we won't be able to apply if our classes are in progress. Have you heard anything about that. I hope its not true its going to put a lot of people behind. Sorry, Im asking so many questions..lol
  10. Sound great!!A lot of work but it sounds great lol....!!!!!What was your scores on the TEAS and current GPA!!!..Did you take HPRS 1201.My professor told me that we have to show them a binder of assignments that we did in class is this true during the interview!!!
  11. Wish you the best. I took the Teas and did not do to well on the Math part. So I am trying to retake it in two weeks so I can apply for the Spring. What do they require for you to bring to the interview and how was it!!!!!!
  12. You could offer to help her....Like have a study session with her . If you are artistic you could draw out pictures such as the heart .lungs or ask her if their is a subject she does not understand maybe you could help her .You can buy her books. Its the little things that counts :) It doesn't hurt to ask her if she needs space, and if she doesn't you can be her study buddy. Sometimes if you see that she is having a hard time with studying or becoming frustrated offer her a nice break somewhere. As a boyfriend/spouse you can always be their to help. Even reminding her that although she is spending a lot of time with school you still love her and supporting her. The only thing you can do is be their every step of the way. That is very sweet of you to think that way . We need more boys like this ..lol..Its really up to her about managing her time, but you can always be their to remind her about stuff ,such as an assignment or just simply ask about her opinions.
  13. Hello, how was the lvn program, and will they accept you if you still have your lvn nutrition and A&P in progress.
