Does anyone know if hcc has evening classes? I would love to hear from anyone in the program. What is your day like? What time do you go to class ad leave from class? What hospitals do you do clinicals at? How hard was it to get into the program? I was set on going to San jacinto college ADN program but I'm leaning more towards hcc now.

Hello, I suggest checking out the "ER" (Essential Requirements) meeting they hold on campus. You can get more info about it on the HCC website (click on Coleman campus) and sign up. It's required to apply to the program, but they will answer all your questions and then some! :) They do have night classes, but I believe they only have admission for them once a year (Fall?). I start the program in August, so I'll know more about what the schedules are like then. Good luck!

HCC does have night classes for certain classes but not all. HCC's nursing program is in re-organization period and it is very crazy right now. I am starting my 2nd semester in August and it has already been a lot of confusion. I will be either at the hospital, in lab, or in class 5 days a week. It is very demanding and difficult but you just have to keep your eye on the ball and know why your doing it. You do need to go to the ER session and they will answer a lot of questions for you. It is difficult to get into just in the fact that you have to jump through more hoops than other schools but if you are willing to do that it is not that hard. I hope it works out for you and good luck!

And btw, clinicals start at 6:30am and end at 3:30pm or 2:00pm to 11:00pm. You will have one or two days of those.
