I work in Spokane, Wa at an Adult Family Home which is basically a regular house for elderly clients with 24 hour semi-skilled care and I make $9.50 an hour plus a flat rate wage of $25 a night everytime I have to sleep over. Though, I might be resigning soon as I've currently been offered a much better position at another house with a lighter client load and higher pay at $10.25 an hour with a raise to $11.00 an hour after 90 days and another raise to $11.50 after a year plus $35 flat rate for overnights and they just need someone to cook, clean and be around in case of emergencies. When I first started as an NAR I made $9.50 then got a raise to $10.00 then lost my job and got a new job which lowered me back down to $9.50. My pay as a NAR and a CNA are the same at my current job. I didn't get a raise in pay for becoming certified.

I live in Louisiana and down here it seems to be around $9-10/hr. It was $9/hr at both the LTC and group home I worked at but the LTC had a shift differential for evening and night shifts.

$9/hr seems about average for LTC down here, not sure about hospitals.

I first started a year ago making $9.20 hr @ a nursing home. now I make $13.51 (night shift) an hour at a hospital working 12s. If I worked during the day I'd make $11.45. Way easier and better in a hospital.

I'm in east TN and work home health for our local hospital. I get $15 an hour plus .51 cent a mile. That's on the high end for CNAs here. LTCs typically pay anywhere from $8.50 to $11 in my area.

Working as an aide at an inpatient hospice center in Central Ohio I was hired at 10.59/hr plus shift differential of 1.65 for evenings, nights, and weekends. 3% raise per year, worked for two years, so went up to 10.90/hr and more recently 11.23/hr plus shift/weekend diff. I know the inpatient hospital units pay more (e.g. med surg, ICU, etc.) than hospice does. Pay depends on experience and area.

I work at a nursing home in the Chicago suburbs and I make $14.00/hr on weekend evenings, and $13.25 on weekday evenings. I work every weekend to get this specific pay. If I didn't it would be less.

I make $20.57/hr not counting shift diff and weekend premium' date=' love those weekend nights when I'm making around $25/hr. I've been there for a year and a half. (I'm in SK, Canada)[/quote']

That's it! I'm moving to Canada! The most I've made has been $10.25 an hour with $50 flat rate for overnights.
