what's going on here? i live in northern california and i'm noticing lots of openings for 8 hour shifts? this is not agency/contractor work, but inhouse fulltime permanent positions. why?
In my hospital we have 12h shifts on floors and 9 or 10h in PACU. When I worked 12h *****, in theory I should have 4 days off. It was never really 4 days, mix of days, nights meant that I maybe had 1 or 2 days off when I was not off from night shift or about to go in the evening. Now. I work 9-10h shifts in PACU. I finish around 7pm. I should work 4 days a week but often is 5 days. I still feel exhausted and dont have that much time to do anything. I am not sure what shift pattern would suit me. Maybe 3-11pm if we had. Its time to sleep, shop, go for appointments etc. But then no time in the evening for social life. Nothing is ideal.
