When I worked for Sutter Health (ABMC) in Berkeley a couple of years ago I heard the new grad hires say they were getting $5K per year for their student loans, in one lump sum per year. I was slightly PO'd because I was/am still paying off my student loans and didn't qualify for this benefit! I don't know how many years they could get this or what their work committment was -- you can look up Sutter Health online; they have many hospitals esp. in northern California. Sutter also pays well with great bennies, like Kaiser.

Hi all,
I'll be moving to the Bay area after I graduate from BSN program in Nevada. Any decent hospitals in the Bay area offering tuition reimbursement programs for a time commitment? I know you must think this is early to think about this, but my dilemma is I have been accepted into a private BSN program and have a good chance of getting accepted into a state program also in Nevada. The private is a better program, but 3 times as expensive as the state. If I know there is a chance of loan reimbursement for at least some of it then I will pick the private school. Thanks, Dee
