Hospitals that offer 8 hr shifts in NYC?

Hi all!

Does anyone know of hospitals that offer 8hr shifts in either Manhattan, Brooklyn, Staten Island or Queens instead of the 12 hour ones?

I think I would prefer the 5 day week and so am trying to gather this info.

Beth Israel - Petrie (Manhattan's lower east side) does, but I did not have a good experience there.

Thanks so much for replying - do you know if all there floors have 8 hours or just some? Also, if you don't mind me asking, why didn't you have such a good experience there?

I know that some hospitals have a mix of units with 12 and 8 hour shifts. For example, the OR, postpartum, and interventional radiology were some of the units at the hospital I did my clinical rotation that had 8 hour shifts for their staff nurses.

Kings County Hospital Center definitely has the 8 hr shifts, I got that information just today from them.
