hi, i am a nursing student. i always wanted to work in the neonatal unit. i want to start working there from the start. especially after i read so many comments on this website about how i would have to learn everything over if i go in the nicu after working in other units.
so my question is: are there hospitals with nicu in michigan? particularly detroit?? (if there are please give names)
i searched for jobs and for hospitals and could not find anything.
thank alot!

Just one thing the University of Michigan doesnt call it the NICU- thats their Neuro Intensive Care Unit. Its named after a large money contributer like alot of other things. Its the Holden ICU Nursery.

Yep, we are the Holden NICU, in the Ann Arbor area there is us and St Joseph Mercy Hospital.
Both are Level III's, we have a slight advantage (if you can call it that) in that we do ECMO, pediatric surgery cases, and congenital heart defects. We also do most of our own transports.

I don't know if this matters to anyone anymore, but Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI has a Neonatal ICU.
