My wife and I are looking to move out of Florida in the next few years, and I've been researching about a dozen states on various metrics. I'm getting a lot of contradictory and often vague info, though, especially when it comes to pay scales, and I'm just wondering about what people are making in hospitals in your respective locations. Or if I can get some ideas of what she and I might can expect; I've got 13 years, primarily in IMC/PCU, supervision and now Trauma ICU, and she has 5 years, the last 4 of which have been in supervision or as a unit manger.

In Georgia the average in hospital hourly rate for days is $40-$45 depending on experience/certifications, shift. Cost of living is also a factor of course.
Would it be possible for your/your spouse to go with a travel agency to get a feel for where you want to live permanently? The wages would be higher & give you a chance to check out where you are wanting to stay. Georgia is a compact license state as well.
