Hospital house supervisor info

Published

I am interested in moving into a house super isor position at a large hospital in the Eastern United States. I have the experience and qualifications. What is the average pay? Online I read 90-100k but that sounds awfully high. Any insight if this is correct? This is a level @ trauma center with around 450 beds. Just curious what kind or salary I could realistically expect. I am a charge/shift leader now and make 30/hr. So 90k would be amazing but I just have a feeling it's not that high. Any insight would be great! Thanks!

There's no way anyone here could answer that without knowing the hospital, or at least the city. It's HIGHLY dependent upon geography. Also, house supervisors are typically non-exempt positions, so are usually paid an hourly wage, rather than an annual salary.

To add to Klone's post, although house supervisors are nurse leaders, they are not nurse managers because they do not have direct reports. Plus, HR recruiters will be the best people to talk to about the range in pay for positions being offered. GL!

Seems plausible, average RN pay in CT/MA is high 70's-mid 80k/year. Idk where you're coming from, geographically, but you might want to give some thought to cost of living. I'm barely making ends meet on 85k. That 90-100 might not be as good as it sounds, depending where in the 'east' you're talking about
