Will be moving to Florida soon and will probably live in Pasco area, but could work near by. Am certified in Hospice and Palliative Care (CHPN) and am a Case Manager with a case load of 10-12, doing home visits. Would like to know if this is the a similar situation in Florida, and what kind of salaries do they pay? I have looked on Salary.com and it says I will need to make 3,000 more a year to maintain my life style in Florida.

Any advice or help would be appreciated.

Hospice of the Suncoast is in Pinellas. Pasco-Hernando Hospice services Pasco and Hernando Counties. A call to their recruiter will answer those salary and caseload questions for you. You also might want to check out LifePath Hospice in Hillsborough Co.

What it costs you to live depends entirely on where you choose to live. On the beach in Pinellas will cost fifty times more than in East Pasco county (rolling hills, country lifestyle). The real estate market is great for buyers right now, and should get better for awhile. Check your property taxes and insurance before you buy a house. Those two items can eat you alive in Florida.

Was browsing different sites and came across yours.

I was wondering if you made your move from Georgia to the Pasco area in Florida & were you able to find work in Hospice.

My parents lived in New Port Richey so I do know the area well. It has changed alot since I was there.

Talk soon. Kathleene
