I have really botched up my first year of nursing by trying to find my niche and now I don't know what to do. I'm not considered a new grad anymore, yet I am not really experienced either. I've had some awful bad luck this past year in my first year of nursing, and I've also made some poor choices. Hindsight is 20/20, right? Now for two months I have been applying daily, even went on some interviews..and nothing. I have even applied to non-nursing positions of areas I used to work in such as medical transcription, surgery scheduling, and work comp claims adjusting. Since I'm an RN, these areas are not wanting to hire me now either.
After sending out tons of applications, resumes, emails, phone calls.... no one will hire me. I don't know if I'm venting or asking for advice... just feel so down and frustrated I desperately need a job. Don't know what to do.

catlover13,
I am looking to relocate to the Gonzales area from out of state. I figure I will be taking a pay cut to go there. Would you be willing to give me a pay range for that hospital? I was hoping to have an idea of what I would be getting when I go there. I will have approx. 2yrs ER experience and 6 years total RN experience.
Thanks!
