Hopefull yet again to become a nurse

Published

Hello everyone, up until yesterday I was in the LPN program but those plans have come crashing down. Due to circumstances I wish to not explain here, I can no longer remain in the program. I was very upset about it b/c I know had things been as promised...I would be in new class orientation right now. But it might be a blessing in disguise.

I already have a bachelors degree from UNO and am now thinking I should have just done the accelerated program instead of wasting my time.

For those who have already completed the LSU CARE program or the OLOL/EJ program...any information and tips would be greatly appreciated. I don't have AP I, II and microbiogy done so I was thinking about doing that in January.

Thanks to all for any info you can pass my way.

I don't know about those programs but have you looked into any of the only second bachelor's accelerated programs? From what I understand you have local clinical. Here is the oldest off the top of my head:

Good luck!

Sorry about your situation. As far as the CARE plan goes, they only admit once a year (in the fall) and the deadline application is Jan 15. You don't need AP I & II to apply for CARE but micro is required as a pre-req. I would call the school and find out if you can apply for the 2012 fall class and take Micro in the spring, that way you don't have to wait another year. Good luck.

jschex6,

Thanks for the info. I will definitely look into it :)
