Hello everyone. I am not a nurse educator, but could really use some help from some. I am the director of nursing for a new home health agency. Because of budget issues, I'll be the nurse in charge of providing orientation to all applicants when hired. I'm now trying to develop an agenda of some sort for the orientation and need some help with including as much information for the candidates as possible. I'll be providing orientation to RNs, LPNs, and CNAs/HHAs. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!!

Homecare Tutorials:
Tutorial I:
Clinical Practice in the Home Care Environment
Tutorial II:
Home Care Regulations and Documentation Requirements
In response to various requests by homecare agencies, CLN has adapted the homecare curriculum into two stand-alone tutorials that can be utilized in new staff orientation.
Homecare organizations can use these tutorials to support their new hires to learn or reinforce how these issues impact the homecare environment. This is also a way to lessen the amount of time that a clinical educator and/or staff spend on the orientation process. These programs are a cost effective way to save organizations time and money. The programs are accessible 24/7 to your new hires with accessibility for a 12-month period.
The content of the Tutorials are as follows:
Unit One – The Evolving Role of the Home Care Nurse
Unit Two – Components of a Home Visit
Unit Three – Plan of Care
Unit Four – Effective Team Communication
Unit Five – Patient/Family Teaching Concepts
Unit One – Patient’s Rights, Privacy, and Confidentiality
Unit Two – Regulations and Accreditation in Home Care
Unit Three – Home Care Payors and Documentation Requirements
Unit Four – OASIS

Tutorials, please contact the CLN at (203) 265-4248.
