Home Health Nursing Rates/Wages

I am currently a home care nurse in CT but am moving to Orlando FL in March... Does anyone know approximately what the hourly rates for full time home care nurses is in Orlando? How about the per diem rates for new admissions, medical visits, pysch visits?

Also CT has medication administration visits that the state implemented to benefit psych pt's who are typically non-compliant with meds and would probably end up homeless....does FL have a similar program???? If so what are those rates???

If anyone would like to post rates for other states or locales please do so....you never know when we have to move again!!

Thank you in advance for your help

:)

I work on the treasure coast which is around WPB and Stuart area. RN's make $25 visit and $55 for admission and on w/e $35 and $65 for admission. Then you get 0.35 per mile.

I am in LPN in Maryland who is an hourly employee. I am paid 18.50 an hour plus $.25 a mile. The hourly rate applies to all time that is associated with patient care- follow up calls to other disciplines, md calls, coordination of care with other agencies, paperwork time etc. Alot of the admin work I do at home but that time is still calculated into my patient care hourly time on my time sheet.

I understand there are other home health agencies who have an entirely different pay rate.

A friend in another county with another company gets 35.00 per visit and $.25 a mile. She does not get an hourly salary so any work done at home is not compensated for.

I do not know what the RN rate is ...

Thanks for your responses! Anyone in the Manhattan area though?

Thanks in advance.

Hello Stephanie,

I will be moving to Florida on May 10th. I will be living in Sanford and already have my apartment. I have my Florida and Michigan license. I have been in Home Care for 11 years and currently work in Phone Triage. I would like to get back into Home Care and Florida Hospital has an excellent reputation. Would you respond with some idea where and how I would apply for Florida Home Care? I plan to be available for work June1st.

I have been a nurse for 34 yrs. and have a myriad of experience but Home Care is my favorite. I would appreciate any information you would like to pass on.

Susan

Hi! I am an RN in Orlando. I work full-time at Florida Hospital Home Care. My salary is slightly less than what you posted for FT home care nurse in CT. I do not know what per-diem rates are at my agency and I do not know if we have psych pt med administration visits. I do know that my agency bases salaries on # of years of nursing experience. I have only worked in FL and GA, but I hear that FL RN salaries are less than other parts of the country. However, Florida Hospital has good benefits. I only pay $40/mo for health insurance. This is the 3rd different time I have worked for Florida Hospital since 1988 and I have been pleased with this hospital. Please consider applying for a position with Florida Hospital Home Care.

Hi, I'm a RN Home Health nurse in Virginia, near Virginia Beach. We make $40 per skilled nursing visit for a revisit and $65 per SOC, ROC and $55 for Recert. We get $0.47/mile.

I worked as a home health nurse in Maryland too, near Ocean City and we made $50 per revisit and $75 for a SOC/ROC/RECERT and grumbled because our competitors were paying $100 for SOC/ROC/RECERT's! lol

I'm moving to Florida in the next two months and am DYING to know what they pay Home Health RN's there by the visit??? (Near Jacksonville) Anybody??? Help. lol

Not near Jacksonville, but in Florida. Rates for per diem at my agency are $40 visit and $75 for SOC/ROC/Recert and $65 for discharge.
