Home Health nurses have you ever worked for two agencies?

Published

I work for one home health agency and another agency is interested in hiring me.I'm not planning to quit my originial agency but I do part-time there so this other job will come in handy. Both agencies are so different, the one I currently work for do paper charting, admission paper can be turned in within 48 hours, regular nurses notes once a week,I dont have draw blood and labs, the other agency uses laptops for charting, expect you to turn in your charting notes every 48 hours, I will have to draw bloods, and call in my schedule the day before I see my patients,.

Many, if not most, hh nurses work for more than one agency. One of my coworkers told me she just signed on with her fourth intemittent visit agency in addition to the four shifts of extended care that she does on our case. That makes her actively working for five agencies at once. She is raking in the bucks. While I have been signed with four or five agencies at once, I have never had that many agencies giving me any work at the same time. Sometimes it can be a crap shoot whether or not your phone will ring with the offer of some work. Makes you feel like a call girl.
