Hello everyone!
As a new grad, I immediately worked for a pediatric trach and ventilator home health company. Now, on my 3rd year working along side with the same company, I am debating whether or not to apply to hospitals or LTC facilities just to brush up on my other skills other than trach and GT. I'm currently in community college finishing up my general education requirements in order to transfer to LVN- BSN program. What's your advice? I've been back and forth with this since the work load in this company is simple and allows me to study and juggle with a 12 units of class per semester. But at the same time, I would like to keep my skills before transferring!
Help!

Concentrate on school. There will be plenty of time to work on skills once school is completed. I went to school full time, worked full time in LTC, and part time in home health. It was all unnecessary as far as making myself attractive to employers. When you take on too much, you risk not being as successful as you could be. JMO
