I was wondering if anyone who works in home could ask their Quality Managers if they would like to do an on line benching/outcome project.
I have done it before and it was rather fun.

We are always looking for ideas, we currently track, urinary device days and IV device days for bench marking. Let me know what you might be interested in doing.

The company I worked for nixed anything other than internal benching or using home health compare.
Thanks though,
Thanks for checking.... Home Health Compare is good, but it is not an accurate account of the real quality indicators for the HHA. I see this is very skewed since some agency's (like mine) have 25 - 30 pts. and some have hundreds... there for the numbers are obviously variable dependent upon the size of the agency.. If I had 20 patients and sent 5 to the hospital, I look like I have 25% of emergent reportings ( which would hold true.. but if I had 100 patients and sent the same 5 to the hospital I would then have only 5% on the indictors..
I think Home health compare does not show the true quality an agency provides.. what do you think??
It is skewed but it some sort of data collection in transition as far as how to tweek it more accurately.
