OP you had said "Got the good pop-up but will not completely relax until I receive my unofficial results and of course, it is a holiday weekend, so it won't be until Tues or Wed of next week! "

If you're talking about the Quick Results..although they say 48 business hours..results are available on weekends and holidays. I took both my NCLEX PN on a Friday and my NCLEX RN on a Thursday..I was able to get my results on Saturday and Sunday. I have a friend who got her quick results on July 4th which was not only a holiday but a Sunday that year.

Take a look on Saturday, I'd be willing to be they will be available.

The NCLEX test is Computer adaptive Testing. If you keep getting answers correct, then it gives you a little more difficult questions (primarily SATAs) the more SATAs you get the better you are doing. After 75 questions, and a lot of hard SATAs, if you have remained "above the line" then it will shut off and you passed.

The type of format for the question does not indicate you are doing well or poorly for that matter. It is just that..a type of format. A SATA could involve content type information which is low level questions. It could have the higher level (passing level) questions.

I've had classmates who had a majority of SATA that passed and who've had a majority of SATA that failed. Some only had a few SATA and failed and others passed.

Its the information in the questions for SATA that would indicate if its lower or higher level question. Content=lower level vs application/analysis is higher level passing questions.

So I took my NCLEX Wednesday. And even with the holiday, Pearson VUE has the "unofficial results" available for a fee today. In my mind, the Pearson Vue Trick is just as reliable as paying the fee. Thing is, if they have the "unofficial results" available, their system knows my fate (at least unofficially). Thus, I wouldn't be getting blocked from the CC page.

So I am going to just have to wait it out with the state. And the fact that it's the 4th, I don't expect to see anything until next week on the OBN site. I just want the proof that I passed - none of this "unofficial" business. Because in my mind, that's not any different from getting the "good pop up."

It's just silly! All computerized, wish it was an instant, same day result. But it's not, so the waiting continues.

The results Pearson Vue gives you with the Quick Results are the same results they give to the licensing BON you applied to so they are valid and 100% more accurate or reliable than the PVT. They are 'unofficial' because PearsonVue doesn't issue the license.

My husband is a firefiighter/paramedic and took his paramedic licensing exam through Pearson Vue. He got his results immediately at the testing site. Not sure why they cannot do that for all.

I dont know why we cant find out right away also because as soon as you are done the computer has already determined if you passed or failed and I also do not know why we have to wait 48 hours because they send the information to the board of nursing right away unless your results are on hold I took my test wednesday and even though my license number did not show up until friday on the bon website it said my license was issued thursday

Ok, so update - I passed. :) The PVT was accurate in my case even though I was sure it wasn't. Congrats to anyone else who got the good news this afternoon!!!

I heard Nclex SATA questions were not that insane compared to Kaplan practices. Is it true ? More like saunder SATA ?

Let me preface this by saying that I think that everyone has different thoughts and opinions based upon their NCLEX experience. I thought my Sata on the NCLEX were harder than Kaplan. Saunders were easy. Kaplan was hard. NCLEX was harder. But my regular NCLEX questions (the few I had anyway) were definitely comparable with Kaplan.
