Wow, I cannot believe I sit here almost done! :monkeydance: I took my last test on Tuesday of last week, got a 92 (WOOHOO!) and thus am exempt from the final (we needed an 86 test average to avoid the final yay!). So now all that is left is one more clinical weekend and then done! Tomorrow I have my exit interview with the program Director, then we have our final evals/conferences next week. Graduation isn't until July 26th though b/c we have to wait for other divisions (we have day and evening) to finish up, also other schools are graduating too (rad tech, surg tech, etc.).

I am going to miss it! I love school - I'm a dork, I've gone to college a LONG time - AA, BA and some grad work before realizing I wanted to be a nurse. LOL so I will miss it. I will plan on going back later though to get an MSN and hopefully become an NP.:nurse:

:1luvu:I've had ssssssssooooo much happen during my three years in nursing school - I had a major surgery, then I got pregnant after 9 years of fertility issues, had a beautiful baby boy (who is now 19 months old):1luvu:, had another surgery (c-section), my mother was diagnosed with a rare form of gastro cancer and passed away within a year:bluecry1:, my father in law was diagnosed with lung cancer and just this week has been placed into hospice (here at home) after a 2 year battle with lung cancer:bluecry1:, I went from being a full time worker and full time student to being a full time student and stay at home mom. So many things but all add to the experience.

I already accepted my first nursing job - in a level 4 NICU, starting in September. I plan on taking the NCLEX in August so I guess I should start studying LOL! I am thinking we will be taking the Kaplan this month sometime (as a group our class will probably do it).

Anyway - for all of you just starting your journey, enjoy it! For those of you in the middle - remember your almost there! And for those of you at the end of nursing school like me - way to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow! Congratulations for all that you have accomplished. It certainly sounds like you have been through a lot. It is amazing how much we learn from just living and going through so many experiences, both good and bad. I can only imagine how difficult these last three years have been for you. You've obviously worked very hard. You should be very proud of yourself! Congratulations for finishing school and for the birth of your sweet baby! I wish you much peace and happiness!!!:lol2:

At my school, you would probably receive the Mary Mahoney award. This is an award they give to the student that, despite all that happened to them in nursing school, they persevered and graduated. You have been through a lot and would definately deserve it.

Congratulations on your graduation!!!!!!!

What a crazy ride. You should be so proud of all you accomplished and for not let anything hold you back. Great job and good luck in your new job.

Happy Graduation!!
