Does anybody know or have any info on the experience at Holy Family University BSN nursing program. Has anyone graduated from their program that can give me some insight?

i'm actually curious to know also..i just found out that they offer an evening program and you don't need any pre-req's to get in..(even tho i already have some under my belt).
Well I did decide to attend Holy Fam, I started two weeks ago and I find that it it a very laid back comfortable atmosphere. The teacher to student ratio is excellent and your not treated like a number. They do offer an evening program as well as weekend. It would always be good to have some pre req's done to show them that you are capable of completing the program academically but I do not think that it is a requirement for incoming freshman.

I am anxiously waiting for an acceptance letter to Holy Family. It is one of the few schools in PA that will allow you to work full time during the day and go to school on nights and weekends. I hope the mailman comes soon!

I can only tell you what my mom has said to me...
Some of the dumbest nurses she has worked with come from there.
So my suggestion...prove her wrong and be one of the good ones.
Reading Hospital offers an evening weekend program and they don't even ask if you work.

it is laid back in first yr...wait til you move further along...get a 76.9 and you fail...77 is passing..also if you fail, nothing offered in summer...so u are in trouble...gotta wait until next semester...i personally hate this school. they are all money minded as far i see..used to be a good school abt 5 yrs ago...now it is totally different!

I know these posts are old, but old posts hang around so I thought it was time to put in an update! Holy Family has summer classes but not clinical classes in the summer... only non clinical ones.. passing is 77.. but a 76.5 is rounded up to a 77. They have some free programs offered in the summer for ESL nursing students and have free tutoring and a counselor on site at the school to help with study skills and test taking anxiety. There is a focus the entire last semester on getting you ready to take NCLEX with a three day review the week before the semester starts, weekly online questions, and a weekly review class at lunchtime. The December 2011 class had 100% NCLEX pass .. that combined with the fact it is one of the least expensive universities around should encourage anyone.
