I submitted my Holy Family University ABSN application for Fall 2019 and wanted to create a thread to talk to others that have also applied.

So exciting! Congrats again on your acceptance! I would say just enjoy your time off from school right now because once it starts, you literally are flooded with coursework/exams. Other than that, make sure you have major things like finances/budgeting in order prior to starting because you don't want the stress of money coming in during the school year and make sure your oil changes/car repairs are done as well (you're going to be driving all over Philly for clinical)! Good luck, send me an email if you want notes/PDFs of textbooks/careplan examples. I've been compiling a collection of everything to send to a few other people as well.

Hi guys! Got all your emails & I'm compiling everything I have on my laptop and will send it out by the end of the week. I did the full-time program, the part-time program actually is a new option but the content is the same as what I've seen in your program outline. Hello everyone, I am in a similar boat to everyone here. I called this Monday to see if I can come check the school out and also see my decision for the full time program (I applied before the final deadline) and she sort of gave me a reply stating that she doesn’t think I made the cut. I can understand cause she did mention my pre-reqs weren’t too strong. She said I’d have a better chance at getting into the part time fall 2 program so I requested my application to be switched to that and I got my acceptance letter today in an email. I am nearby Rutherford, NJ and so I am contemplating if I want to commute or find a place to live near there. I want to get to know my peers in my cohort so please shoot me a message or reply to my comment here. I am waiting on a decision on NJCU as that is my first option as it is close but I think that my chances of being accepted are very slim. I applied to other places but due to the costs and or distance I think Holy Family would be the best option for me if NJCU doesn’t work out for me. Any one in the part time program working? I am currently a contractor and whether I should extend my contract or apply for a position at my current company or not is still floating in the air especially since the company is in NJ and it would be a full time position.

This is probably a very stupid question, but for those of you living in NJ is there a way to avoid tolls to get to Newtown from Trenton? I’m looking at moving before school starts because I currently live in the CC philly.

That’s a good question to be honest your best bet which works out like 98% is going into google maps (I think waze has this too) and choosing to avoid tolls and seeing the way it gives you. If those don’t show any alternatives then I’m not sure tbh. I’m not road savvy as well ?. Are you joining the 20 month program too?
