Are the books all that necessary for this course, I am really tired of buying expensive books that I never open? :confused:

In this course you absolutely need the lab book and the assessment book but that's it.

Both books provide a set of assessment criteria for both your subjective and objective assignments and it is imperative that you hit on each assessment in order to get a good grade - and don't forget details like mm Hg for blood pressure, bpm for heart rate, digits x 10, bilateral, etc. as I feel the grades for this course reflect how comprehensive your assignment was.

It's easy, just a buttload of writing (essentially copying the book but in your own words).

I agree with this. I just googled for nursing diagnosis info to use in the assignments. Or, I would go on amazon and use the "sneak preview" of the book to search for the diagnosis and see it.

Yes, it is a lot of work. But it's mostly grunt work and nit-picky stuff, such as spelling out every single little thing you assess. Don't fear this one: save the emotions for Research and Vulnerable Populations.

I agree the books are a MUST. The weekly objective and subject assignments are tedious, and time-consuming. DO NOT wait until the last minute. It took me approximately 12 hours to write it up each week.

Is anyone able to see the course in Blackboard? I am not able to see anything and its Wednesday today...Class will start from coming Monday...so just wondering
