Hi nursing folks. I am an international student (F1 VISA) who recently graduated from a US nursing school in Kansas. I passed NCLEX and got my RN license. my green card case was applied in 2008, and I notice that my case will be in decision phase in early 2015. my OPT starts from Feb. 2014 to Jan 2015, and there will probably be 2-3 months apart from connecting OPT to residency. Right now I am searching for jobs and submitting plenty of job applications. On the applications, I was asked to answer if I needed sponsorship to work legally in the US. Since my green card case is very close to be decided, I do not know if I have to answer "yes" or "no". I know I should be honest to my information, but I think my situation is kind of complicated. Can someone help me to figure out my concern? Thank you so much.

how do you plan on staying in the US whilst waiting between OPT and GC? as you know dates can go up and down and you will require to be able to stay legally until date becomes current and a visa is released.

What do you plan on doing once the OPT has run out? Then you will no longer be in the US legally.
after OPT runs out, I want to continue to work as a nurse..........I think I will need sponsorship no matter to my green card case. Thanks for reminding my actual situation.
In that case you will need to find a employer willing to go the H1b route whilst waiting for GC to be proceeded as long as employer is also willing to go GC route
