Hello! I have an interview upcoming and was wondering if you had any advice! I have been studying my CCRN material, EKGs, and looking over case studies. I really am hoping to get it in I just hope I am on the right track with what I am studying!

Nope.  That's all you can do.

Unfortunately, interviews are always changing so take any advice with a grain of salt.  Also, if I give you advice, your other competitors will be reading this and it can worsen the odds for you.

Just make sure you know everything about your unit and what you do.  It would be silly if they asked you a question about a med that you commonly use and can't speak to it.

Thank you for the advice!

I have a question to people working at Northwell. Is the Hofstra CRNA program 100% free for nurses working in the Northwell system?

Specializes in Critical Care Nurse.

They offer new students and nurses who work for Northwell the same deal.  You work for them and they will pay for your tuition. The Kicker is you owe them 5 years and I don't think you are guaranteed a hospital but that's a question you can ask.

thanks ! how many years do you have to work at northwell?

There is no such thing as 100% free.  That is too good to be true.  Also why would a school pay your tuition upfront and then not guarantee you a hospital?  Seems like that would violate their contractual agreement that you have the option to sign up for.  Also northwell is everywhere on the island.

You don't have to work for them before you apply.  You just have to stay with them after you sign up.  If you want real answers go to an open house. They're entertaining.

What textbooks did you guys use ?
