HESI exams tend to correlate with NCLEX passing rates and nursing school GPAs, from the research that I've seen, hence its importance. To be quite frank, HESI A2 is an incredibly simple exam compared to anything you'd face in nursing school. Students that aren't cut out for the entrance exam are, typically, not cut out for nursing school either.
