I'm justing wondering if anyone has had this experience: I'm a new grad and just got my 1st new job after job hunting for 3 months! So you can imagine how happy I was to be offered a job- finally! Yes it's Med/Surg night shift and 1 hour from my home... but still it's a job! But it's been 4 weeks and I still don't have a start date! I had the physical, drug test, paper work but haven't been told about a start date! The wait is frustrating. Is this normal? 4 weeks seems like a long time to me. How does this process work anyway? Thanks for any insight!

Are they waiting to schedule a group orientation? That seems to hold things up sometimes. Congratulations and good luck.
I figure it's something like group orientation but no one has said anything. Maybe it's a case of everyone thinking that someone else spoke to me! I'll call them Monday to try and nail something down! Thanks.
Sounds like a good idea. Keep us posted.

I would definitely give hr a call and find what the hold up is. You have been offered a job so they should not be waiting for references or what not. If there was a problem with any of the drug tests or anything they would have called.
