Hello all, I am new to the group and just wanted to introduce myself first. I am an LPN of 4 years and interested in furthering my career by getting my RN. However, I was just curious if there was anyone out there who is attending or has attended Hinds Community College or Mississippi Delta Community College. What are your thoughts and would you reccomend them. Thanks in advance for any responses.

Hello, I myself graduated from Hinds CC LPN to RN bridge program this past May. It was very convenient, but fast paced. A lot of individual reading is required .
Hello, thanks for your response. What campus did you attend? Also, how long was the program and would you reccomend it?
I attended the Vicksburg campus. The class met on Tues/Thurs from 5:30 to 8:30 and some weekends 7A - 7P . It was very convenient. I did not think we went very in depth as far as pharmacology and assessment, but it was a good program. I would reccomend this program to anyone who has at least 1 year clinical experience as a LPN.
thanks, was the program 1 year?
The program is 12 months. It starts each June and ends in May .

I attended MDCC. There school is extremely hard. I failed my 3rd semester by making a 74 and needing a 76 on my final. I would not go back there. I am thinking about Holmes.

I graduated from Holmes CC in Grenada and would recommend it to anyone! Although difficult (but then wouldnt you want it to be to train a good nurse) the instructors would, for the most part, work with you. They were actually willing to help you. I worked one job full time, another part time and went to school full time and got through the program (but I wouldn't recommend doing it that way).
